I could give you a hundred pages of high tech
information and explain to you in
techno-babble everything you should do. But
I wont. That’s the problem with trying to
find this stuff on the internet- its all
convoluted with endless technical
explanations. I have been working in network
administration and computer programming for 17
years, dealing with and administering
thousands of computers. You want to maximize
the efficiency of your computer. And you want
to do it quickly. You do not want to read a
giant technical document. So I will waste
little time on explanations. In this system
are 5 things that I do to any slow, sickly
computer that will quickly enhance its
performance. When a customer complains that a
computer seems ‘bogged down”, I will do these
first. This is the same thing that any pro
will do, the same thing my staff do when users
complain of computer slow down. IT
professionals do not install more software
programs to fix computers....we just do it
manually. Installing yet more programs
to speed up a computer is ridiculous...you
will never see IT departments do that kind of
thing.
Everything here in this system is step by
step, complete with pictures. You just
can't go wrong. But you do need to read
everything and thoroughly. Do not skip a
step, just do it all. You will see the
difference. This system is meant
to be done in order, so please go over each
phase one at a time. Also understand
that your computer most likely has taken a
long time to slow down to its current state,
that means that it will take some time also
from you to get it back to running smooth.
It needs some TLC, so please allow at least
1-2 hours to complete this system. If
you take your time, and treat your computer
with care as you follow these steps, you
will certainly improve your computers
performance greatly.
NOTE: This system is for Windows Vista, Windows XP Home
and Windows XP Professional. If you are running Windows 98, there may still be hope to save you, but there is little you can do once the
computer starts crashing on a repetitive
basis. Windows 98 is notorious for its
instability. It is time to get a new
operating system, as these steps may or may not be
effective in making your computer stable
again, but it doesn't hurt to give them a try
if you are using 98.
Good luck,
Arthur
